Perfection is the scourge…
It’s the nemesis of fulfillment and joy’s arch enemy.
It is a farce…
A game that can never be won,
An appetite that can never be satisfied.
It won’t keep you free from criticism or judgment or anything else that you believe it might.
It will only keep you from you true self.
We’re not meant to be perfected.
We’re meant to be appreciated as we are…
Like a flower,
Or a tree,
Or any of God’s other creations.
You wouldn’t try to fix a flower, would you?
Why then are you so dead set on fixing you?
YOU’RE NOT BROKEN.
The truth is you’re already perfect.
You’re already who and what you’re supposed to be.
You don’t need to become anything else.
You’re already there.
Improve yourself if you want to.
Strive for excellence and attainment and anything else that calls to you in the night.
You were made to overcome obstacles and accomplish great things.
Just do it for the right reasons.
Do it because you feel compelled to do so and because it feels good and because you believe in yourself.
Do it because you can.
Just don’t do it because you think you have to or need to…
Or because you’re afraid you’ll never be anybody if you don’t.
You’re already somebody.
You’re you…
Perfectly created, perfectly loved, perfectly imperfect.

I LOVE this. When my daughter was in 7th grade I put this phrase on the front cover of her notebook, and on her mirror in the bathroom. YOU get it. All of it. And yes, the world is ready for AMM!
